Two Hungry Bowlers Publishers LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates VEYL ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or third-party OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google). If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment information. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
When you register and accept our Terms of Service, and when you acknowledge our scan disclaimer before your first scan, we record a timestamped consent record that includes the date and time of acceptance, your IP address, your browser user-agent string, and the version of the terms or disclaimer you accepted. These records are retained as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to satisfy legal requirements.
When you submit a document for analysis, the text content is processed in memory. We do not permanently store your uploaded documents. Your document text is not saved to disk, is not used for model training, and is not shared with any third party. Once analysis is complete, the document content is discarded.

We may store the results of your scans (scores, module outputs, and flagged sections) so you can access your scan history. Scan results do not contain the full text of your original document.

We send transactional emails related to the operation of your account, including welcome messages, password reset links, scan completion notifications, plan upgrade confirmations, and usage limit warnings. These emails are sent via our email service provider (Resend) and are necessary for the functioning of the Service. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering these messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and secure server infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Scan result history is deleted when your account is deleted.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We also use a cookie to remember that you have accepted the scan disclaimer on your current device, so you are not asked to re-acknowledge it on every visit. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We may use basic analytics to understand how the Service is used.
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
