These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VEYL ("the Service"), operated by Two Hungry Bowlers Publishers LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
VEYL is an AI writing detection platform that analyses documents using multiple detection modules to identify AI-generated content. The Service is available via the web at veylapp.com.
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. When you register, you are required to affirmatively accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy by checking the acceptance checkbox. We record your acceptance along with a timestamp and your IP address for our records.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Before running your first scan, you will be presented with a usage disclaimer that explains the probabilistic nature of AI detection and the limitations of the Service. By proceeding, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these limitations and agree to use scan results responsibly.

Documents you upload are processed in memory for the purpose of analysis. We do not permanently store your uploaded documents on our servers. Your documents are not used for training, shared with third parties, or retained after analysis is complete. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
VEYL offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
Each plan includes a monthly word allowance. Word usage resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused words do not roll over. If you exceed your word limit, you will need to upgrade your plan or wait until the next billing cycle.
VEYL provides probabilistic assessments of whether content was generated by AI. No detection tool is 100% accurate. Our results should be used as one factor in your evaluation and not as the sole basis for consequential decisions (such as academic discipline, employment actions, or legal proceedings). We are not responsible for decisions made based on our analysis.
Certain types of content are more likely to produce inaccurate results, including but not limited to: text written by non-native English speakers, highly technical or formulaic writing, content that has been translated, and AI-generated text that has been substantially edited by a human. You agree to consider these limitations when interpreting results.
The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, and branding, is the property of Two Hungry Bowlers Publishers LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any documents you upload. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the analysis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Two Hungry Bowlers Publishers LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Two Hungry Bowlers Publishers LLC, its officers, members, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails related to the Service, including account confirmation, password resets, scan completion notifications, plan changes, and usage alerts. These communications are necessary for the operation of the Service and are not marketing emails. We do not send unsolicited promotional emails without your separate consent.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
